What this site keeps.

basalith.life is run by Heritage Nexus Inc., the company behind Basalith. This page covers this site only. The product has its own policy at basalith.ai/privacy.

Field Notes by email

When you sign up, we send one email with a confirmation link. You are not added to the list unless you click it, though Resend, which sends that email, keeps a delivery log of it as every email provider does. Once you confirm, we keep your address and whether you are subscribed. We use it for one thing: sending Field Notes. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to anything else. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

This site has no database of its own. The list is held by Resend, our email provider, which sends each issue and handles unsubscribes on our behalf.

What won’t you trade?

Nothing you type on that page leaves your browser. The card is drawn on your own device. We do not receive, store, or count what you write.

Everything else

This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and requested pages, to run and secure the service.

An earlier version of this site had a declaration form and an email signup. Neither was connected to any storage, so nothing typed into them was kept. Both are closed.

Removing your data
